Maths Area of Basic Shapes

Area of basic shape

1. The area of a rectangle

The area of rectangle is the product of its length and width. That is,  A= L x w where L is the length and w is the width of the rectangle. For Example, the area of a rectangle of length 35m and width 25 m is 35 x 25 = 875 aquare meters

2. Triangle

Multiply its height by its width. for a square you only need to find the length of one of the sides, as each side is the same length and then multiply this by itself to find the area.

3. Circle
