First we start by push the plane forward, Exerting enough pressure on the plane so that wood shaving begin to appear from the back of the plane. you must push the plane with firm, decisive movements in order to cut through the wood. if not the planes blade may catch in the wood and prevent the plane from moving. plane is a tool for shaping wood using muscle power to force the cutting blade over the wood surface. Some rotary power planers are motorized power tools used for the same types of larger task.
