- Why are they called Bluetooth speakers?
- Who invented them?
Tord Wingren, Jaap Haartsen, and Sven Mat tisson are the inventors of what became Bluetooth. And since they were specify call developing it for wireless headsets those would have technically been the first Bluetooth speakers (since a speaker is an integral component to a headset).
- Why did he invent them?
The development of the "short-link" radio technology, later named Bluetooth, was initiated in 1989 by Nils Rydbeck, CTO at Ericsson Mobile in Lund, Sweden. The purpose was to develop wireless headsets, according to two inventions by Johan Ullman, SE 8902098-6, issued 1989-06-12 and SE 9202239, issued 1992-07-24 .
- What can Bluetooth speakers do?
Bluetooth is a wireless transmission technology that's used for device-to-device connections, for example, between your phone, tablet or laptop and Bluetooth equipped speakers or headphones. Bluetooth can also be used to transmit data between two devices. Bluetooth doesn't transmit well through walls or around corners.
- What have you learnt and enjoyed while you have been making yours?
(it may be some of the processes we have used; soldering wires drilling holes, making the wooden speaker boxes, etc).
