Earthquakes and Tsunamis

 How do earthquake cause tsunami?

Most tsunami are caused by large earthquakes on the sea floor when slabs of rock move past each other suddenly, causing the overlying water to move. The resulting waves move away from the source of the earthquake event.

How are tidal waves different to tsunami?

Tsunami waves are very different from tidal waves. A tidal wave is by definition a wave caused by ocean tides, whereas a tsunami is almost always caused by an earthquake under water. A tidal wave is a regularly reoccurring shallow water wave caused by effects of the gravitational interactions between the Sun, Moon, and Earth on the ocean. The term "tidal wave" is often used to refer to tsunamis; however, this reference is incorrect as tsunamis have nothing to do with tides.

What do you see in the deep ocean?

This is the deep sea. Most are familiar with the surface layer, which extends down 650 feet (200 m) and receives the most sunlight, allowing photosynthetic organisms like phytoplankton to convert sunlight to energy. It is the home of pods of dolphins, schools of fish, and shoals of sharks.

This is term in Sost we've been learning about significant of the Treaty of Waitangi. we have learn about mad miscommucation  that was present in in the treaty. this week we were given the task to create our own treaty with this we forced many challenges eg get all groups. we will always be ready to learn and be organized. we will always take pride in ourselves and we will always take up positive opportunities
