How does a heart attack occur?

A heart attack occurs when an artery gets blocked or closed up. This means it stops the flow of blood going through to the heart muscle and damaging it.

How do you know your having one?

1. Pressure, tightness, pain or a squeezing or aching sencation in your chest or arms that may spread to your neck, jaw or back.
2. Nausea, indigestion, heartburn or abdominal pain.
3. shorness of breath
4. cold sweat
5. fatigue
6. lightheadedness or dissiness.

How to prevent a heart attack

Avoid smoking
control your blood pressure and cholestrol levels
get regular medical checkups
exercise regurlary
Eat a heart healthy diet
control stress
manage diabetes

Why does the heart have a thick and thin side?

The thick side of the heart is full of muscle. The thick side of the heart is also the side with all of the arteries. It needs all of this muscle to pump blood all around the body through the arteries. The arteries pump oxegynated blood away from the heart.

Random fact:

Oxegynated blood is red and de-oxegynated blood is blue. oxegynated blood goes away from the heart through the arteries and de-oxegynated blood comes back to the heart through the veins.

How do we know what part of the heart is Fat

The fat in the heart is the colour white and the muscly part of the heart is red.

Valves

The valves let blood flow to the atria and the ventricles.

Labelled two top holes

The two labelled holes in the heart are right Aorta and the Superior Venacava.

Pigs vs sheep heart

Pigs hearts are like humans heart they look very similar and work very similar. They have four holes like human hearts. Whereas sheep hearts look like a huge mess the capillaries just go everywhere. By everywhere I mean they just look like strings going down the heart.

Random facts:

1. Your heart will beat about 115,000 times a day.

2. Your heart pumps about 2,000 gallons a day of blood.

Math

This is what I learn in this week in maths
If we did this 3 x 3 x 3 cube into the paint and completely covered by paint, and we take it apart and look at the smaller 1 x 1 x 1 cube, how many small cubes would have:

  • three sides painted- 24
  • two sides painted-18
  • one side painted-4
  • no sides painted-1

Grammar once a week

write the name we use for things he pointed to?reet-treekobo-book tribba-rabbit pleap-apple rast- star poson-spoon blate-table tofo-foot

The names we call different things are called nouns Spaced-out sentences Gorf was a super-intelligent being and quickly learned to speak our language. But when he wrote down some facts about this planet, we found them difficult to read, (he didn't use any spaces!)

Rewrite the sentence Gorf said, leaving spaces between the words.
1. The sky on planet Haret is pink.2,  The Haretians live underground.3.  Children only go to school once a week.4. The cars on Haret have square wheels.

A sentence is a group of words telling something that makes sense. Write a sentence telling something about the planet you live on. Remember a sentence starts with capital letters and ends with a full stop.

ThechildrenheregotoschooleveryMondaytoFriday. = The children here go to school every Monday to Friday.

Rhyme timeIf you look closely. you will see that the words Gorf spoke can be rearranged to make the words we use.     e.g    blate - table   gort - frog   Haret - EarthThese are called anagrams - swapping the letters of a word around to make a new word.

Can you work out some more of Gorf's words? You will find that each set of words rhyme.

Keow = woke                       Nagg = gang Komes = smoke                  Gnaf = fang Olack = clock                       Yehon = honeyKaos = soak                         Fyunn = funnyKepo = poke                        yomen = moneyGans = sang                        nurny = runnyGran = rang                         Yunns = sunny   Gnab = bang

Moving on: Introducing Elephant: Hi. I'm here to help you remember the things you need to know about grammar. Whenever you see me, please READ, THINK and REMEMBER.Give me a name...

Write down six names that you might call the elephant and underline the one you like the best. 1.) Kepo2.) Fyunn3.) Keow4.) Yomen5.) Nurny

What is mars actually like?

Temperature on mars
  • On a normal day on a usual day it will get upto minus 60 degrees C. when it is winter by the poles it's usually gets up to 125 Degrees C
  • For us to build and atmosfair we will need to dig through the soil to the permafrost

What type of the acid is in the air around Mars?
  • When it rains or a cloud forms it is made from sulfuric acid aerosol and when it rains it rains acid

What will happen if you try breath on mars?
  • The air on Mars is 95% Carbon dioxide and 5% Oxygen. If less oxygen is available to breathe something will happen to you  such as rapid breathing, rapid heart rate, clumsiness, emotional upsets and fatigue can result. As less oxygen becomes available, nausea and vomiting, collapse, convulsions, coma and death can occur.

How far is Mars from the sun?
227.9 million kilometers

Is there shelter on Mars?
A Mars habitat is a place that humans can live on Mars.
habitats must contend with surface conditions that include almost no oxygen in the air, extreme cold, low pressure, and high radiation. Alternatively, the habitat may be placed underground, which helps solve some problems but creates new difficulties.
