Hi, my name is Zapatista Barros i'm from Timor-Leste it's located between Australia and Indonesia Timor-leste is a third world country located in south is asia. the culture of East Timor reflects numerous cultural influences including Portuguese,Roman,Catholic and malaysia, on the indigenous Austronesian cultures in East Timor. Esily the most famous East Timorese author is Xanana Gusmao, the leader of the Timorese resistance organization Fretillin, and former Prime Minister od independent East Timor. He wrote two books during the struggle for independence. Also a poet and painter, he produced works describing the culture, values, and skills of the Timorese people.
Timor-Leste is a country rich and diverse culture costume introdution and many more. When children and young people greed or say goodbye to their elder they tipicly do so by taking the right hand of the elder with their right hand and touch the back of the elder hand lightly on their fourth head is the way of given respect to the elders and the way of resieving blessing from them. this country has his own language call tetun.
Tais cloth is a form of traditional weaving created by the women of East Timor. An essential part of the nation's culture heritage, tais weaving are used for ceremonial adornment, sign of respect and appreciation towards guests, friends, relatives. home decor, and personal apparel. The catholic church of East Timor has also adopted the use of tais during it's ceremonies. Beacause of the Indonesian occupation of East Timor, detailed study of the history and importance of the tais began only after 2000.
